Northwestern Regional Housing Authority
The Northwestern Regional Housing Authority provides affordable housing for the elderly, disabled, and low- and moderate-income families throughout the northwest region of North Carolina. They have provided safe, affordable housing for tens of thousands of individuals and households with the assistance of our Public Housing and Section 8 Voucher programs. The seven counties that make up their region are Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey.
The organization’s mission aims to promote adequate and affordable housing for those less fortunate in our communities, providing economic opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.
