Caroline Renfro Candidate for Ashe County Comissioner

"I believe in creating opportunities for people, eliminating barriers to access and leading with empathy. I’m a creative problem solver and a firm believer that the people know best what they need and that it's the obligation of leaders to address those needs. In practice nothing’s that easy but leaders have a responsibility to do their best to understand and prioritize the needs of residents. Leaders cannot address a need they don’t understand, period. We have to hear from, and listen to, the people."

“I spent my career as an attorney fighting to protect and defend the freedoms of everyday North Carolinians. Now, as your Justice, I’ve continued to uphold the rights enshrined in our State Constitution — like access to healthcare, a sound basic public education, and the right to vote.”

Judge Christine Walczyk, candididate for the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2026.

I am running for the Court of Appeals because I am increasingly concerned about the public's loss of confidence in the court system, a cornerstone of our democracy. My campaign will offer voters an experienced, temperate, and principled candidate dedicated to the rule of law. As a trial judge, I was nominated by four chief district court judges (Democrat and Republican) to serve in leadership positions including Lead Judge in Family Court for many years, and currently as Lead Judge in the general civil court.

Chuck Hubbard candidate for US Congress

In Congress, Chuck Hubbard will prioritize our working families and small businesses, support public education, work to build an economy that works for all of us, and expand access to affordable healthcare. He’ll always vote to protect Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security benefits that North Carolinians depend on every day, as well as the benefits that our veterans earned. He’ll stand up for equal justice for every community, and he’ll always protect a woman’s right to choose and access critical reproductive healthcare.

Charlie Wallin Candidate for NC House District 93

I am a successful leader with a proven history of getting things done for this community and want to continue to service by representing you in House District #93. I’m running because our counties deserve someone who already understands the challenges we face, who knows this community from the inside, and who is ready to fight for the people who live and work here. We need someone who can step in on day one with local experience, strong relationships, and a clear plan. I’m ready to bring that experience to Raleigh and represent House District 93, serving the people of Ashe, Alleghany, and Watauga County.
