Upcoming Events

Please remember to bring your $10 annual DWA dues for 2026. Additionally we are collecting women's political and classic and feminist t-shirts. These items will be used for a quilt raffle. Another democrat (Leslie Colvard) is also running for one of three open seats on the County Commission. Les will address the DWA at our March meeting on March 19.

A Little About Us
We are The Democratic Women of Ashe County, NC
Our vision for our beloved Ashe County (whether by birth or by choice) is for Ashe County to be recognized as a place where forward thinking women are empowered and find community; where progressive political ideas are openly discussed and promoted; where government works for all people of the county; and where at least 50% of elected offices are held by women.
Achievement of our vision will require courage, commitment, and thoughtful action. Our focus is on establishing and strengthening relationships with a diverse and all-inclusive array of individuals and organizations throughout Ashe County and the State. We seek to diminish division and instead focus on commonalities and shared concerns.
Our goal is to create a strong foundation for collaboration and change. We are eager to learn and to educate; to propose solutions; and to promote activism and engagement.
